At Canterbury Tower, we understand how difficult it is to make the move from being fully independent to accepting help, and we ensure that this change in lifestyle is made with comfort, dignity and ease.

The E. Jackson Boggs Assisted Living Residences at Canterbury serve as a destination between independent living and full-care options. It provides that little extra help with tasks that have become more difficult due to age or health issues. We understand there are many things you can still do for yourself. However, when the physical or mental tasks of life become more challenging, we’re there to provide the services and people needed to help you maintain some measure of independence during the aging process.

Options

We offer two distinct apartment styles. Our furnished Studio Residences allow for one-room ease with private bathrooms with shower facilities, personal safes and armoires, a television and include a mini refrigerator and microwave. There is even room for a few favorite pieces of furniture if there are items you wish to bring along.

Our One-Bedroom Residences offer a small counter prep area complete with small sink, mini refrigerator and microwave. The units include everything you would need to move right in including a television, furniture, closets, shelving and storage. Bathrooms and bedrooms contain motion-activated floor-level night lighting to illuminate your way. As with our Studios, some personalization is possible.

Amenities

Dedicated staff provide many opportunities for social interaction and mental as well as physical activities. Our staff takes residents for scheduled outings to movies, museums and parks as well as hosting group activities, dinners and holiday-themed get-togethers to ensure the days are filled. For residents who want less structured time, we offer a social room with comfortable seating for puzzles, games and conversations as well as quiet nooks for simply reading a book. Non-denominational church services are also offered for those who wish to attend.

For a one-time fee and subject to approval, those who wish may have a small animal companion, however, an extra fee does apply for daily dog care assistance if needed.

Services included in the monthly fee include:

Onsite salon visits, physician and therapist services as well as personal care items, groceries and prescribed and over-the-counter medications are resident responsibilities.
